Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre houses Fort Nelson's visitor information, a community hall, 2 ice arenas, a curling rink, rock climbing wall, squash court, walking track and fitness and meeting rooms. It is located at 5500 Alaska Highway. The adjacent Aquatic Centre, which opened in 2015, has a 6-lane 25m swimming pool, 1m and 3m diving boards, aquatic climbing wall, combined leisure/2 lane learner's pool, hot tub and 2-story water slide. There are also change rooms, a sauna and steam room.
The Recreation Centre also houses the Visitor Information Centre.
