The trailhead begins on the south side of the highway, 152 km northwest of Fort Nelson. This trail follows into the MacDonald Valley, following creeks and crossing through trees. This valley is an excellent place for spotting wildlife such as caribou and Stone's sheep. Hikers have the option to continue to the Wokkpash Lake by following the intersection (approx. 12 km).

Length: End of creek drainage – 21 km (allow 3-4 days return). *Any length of hike can be chosen by not travelling to the end of creek*
